The Program

Exploring Faiths is an engaging, weeklong summer institute for high school students to explore the diverse world of religions. This program provides a platform for young minds to learn about the beliefs, practices, and cultural impacts of the major world religions, while fostering interfaith understanding and global awareness. This institute encourages critical thinking, empathy, and cultural literacy—skills useful for operating in a pluralistic and diverse globalized world. Traditions covered include Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, and Hinduism.

Course will entail interactive lectures & discussions to include:

  • Cultural Experiences: Participate in art, music, and storytelling activities that reflect the rich traditions of different religions.
  • Dialogue Circles: Engage in respectful, student-led discussions to share perspectives and ask questions and compare themes in different traditions.
  • Collaborative Projects: Create presentations that highlight key teachings, promoting interfaith dialogue and understanding.
